Hello.  My name is Jeffrey R. Brant, MD, and I live in Kingston, Georgia, with my wife, Nancy, and our two daughters, Amanda (18) and Marlowe (13).  I have been practicing ophthalmology (diseases and surgery of the eye) in Cartersville, Georgia, since 1985.

We discovered Cartersville during my last year as an ophthalmology residency.  It seemed like a great place to raise a family and practice medicine.  Located just 40 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta along I-75 (just north of Marietta), Cartersville is a booming city.  A new hospital was constructed here in 1985.  The area was underserved by physician specialists.  I opened the Allatoona Eye Institute, PC which continues to be the only full-time ophthalmology practice in Bartow County.  Growing from humble beginnings, it now provides care to about 30,000 active patients and draws from an area of over 120,000 people.  We have a staff of 12 full time employees and three ophthalmologists, including a retino-vitreal sub-specialist.

I was born in Coral Gables, Florida, on January 18^th a few years ago.  I grew up in the Southwest Section of Miami.
