Hi, friends and relatives. Things have been going pretty well here. Almost all the things damaged by the lightning strike have been repaired now.
We are excited about our upcoming vacation. We are heading to Ft. Myers Beach, FL, to spend about a week of R & R. Staying at the Pink Shell Resort. Amanda and Marlowe are each taking a friend. Heather and her family are also going there, as are Nancy's parents. My brother, Barry, and his family might join us for a day or two. Don't know if we'll make it to Miami or not this time, but we'll be back in South Florida in August when we take Amanda to college then. Long drive from here, though. We'll have a notebook PC with us, so drop us an e-mail when you get a chance!
I should have some really nice corn and pole beans this year. Have about 100 sweet corn stalks that are doing great, and the pole beans are growing right up the corn stalks. Also trying my hand at pumpkins and cantaloupe. Had to put up a deer blocker fence around the garden to keep the deer from eating up everything.
Work has been extremely hectic lately. One day runs into the next. I'll be glad to get some rest from it for a few days.
